BLAZING MUSIC + SOUND CREATES SOUNDTRACK FOR BET AWARDS PROMOS

Raleigh, NC (July 24, 2008) – Audio post production company, Blazing Music + Sound (www.blazingmusicsound.com) provided sound design and original music for a series of promotional spots featuring recording artists Lil Wayne, Nelly, and Usher for the 2008 BET Awards.

The artists are depicted as super/action heroes who reveal their extraordinary abilities after receiving a call from “Q,” played by Quincy Jones.  Lil Wayne creates a nuclear reaction in the palm of his hand, Nelly’s hand morphs into an iron fist, and Usher transforms into a 007 figure. 

Visual effects were created by Superfad (www.superfad.com) while Blazing’s Willie Elias handled sound design duties with direction from BET’s Creative Director Ola Kudu and Associate Creative Director Rashid Mausi.  Composer Pepe Ojeda (a freelance composer on the BM+S roster) delivered heroic “movie trailer” orchestral scores for the action portion of each spot.

Each artist had a 30-second spot with the exception of Usher who, as a featured performer in this year’s show, also had one and two minute versions.
