Music Producer Eric Johnson Joins Company, Creates BLAZING MUSIC + SOUND

RALEIGH, N.C. (January 8, 2003) –Trailblazer StudiosSMis pleased to announce that Eric Johnson, an established music producer, composer, and sound designer, has joined the company to head up a dedicated custom music and sound division.

BLAZING MUSIC + SOUND will provide high-quality recording, mixing, and sound design for corporate, agency clients, film, television, and multimedia clients. In addition, the studio will produce original music tracks using Johnson’s talents as well as his network of composers and producers across the country and across all musical genres. Johnson has 17 years of music and sound production experience with his company Johnsound Productions, and has worked on projects ranging from the opening music pre-show music and sound for Exploris’ Imax Theater and the player introduction video for NC States’ men’s basketball team to remix projects for Atlantic Record’s recording artist Brandy and Virgin Record’s Beanie Man (on a track featuring Janet Jackson).

“Eric was a natural fit to the Trailblazer family,” said Tom Waring, Trailblazer’s President and CEO. “The production projects coming from our film, corporate and animation boutiques call for expert sound mixing and musical tracks.”

“Tom and I came to realize that we had a shared vision of what the advertising and television production markets need in a sound facility,” said Johnson. “All the resources at Trailblazer combined with my experience and connections in the music industry put us in a very unique position.”

Blazing Music + Sound will serve Trailblazer StudiosSM legacy clients who include McKinney & Silver, Exploris, Glaxo Smith-Kline and Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Johnson says he also expects to attract new clients who are looking for music found outside of North Carolina, “If a client wants New York or LA talent, I can either go there or bring the talent here digitally. It’s a whole new world and we’re planning to push the current technology to the max.”
